Anti-War

Anti-War Movement?

I personally feel that it's not that anyone is trying to hide these websites from us. However, since it is a topic that no one ever talks about these websites are not brought to society's attention as much. If you put in a simple Google search for "US Anti War" there are several websites that do come up immediately. Such as some being for the new anti-war movement that the younger generation is starting. With the new generations, I do feel that they can be a lot more open-minded overall, especially with war.

However, as you read the article is does begin to show curiously as to why the endless wars got so little discussion, maybe because America does not have much coverage of what is going on overseas or was it maybe because America still feared the government?

There was a study done by the Foundation for Liberty and American Greatness about a year ago that stated "younger Americans were “turning on the country and forgetting its ideals,” with nearly half believing that this country isn’t “great”. Although there are not anti-war protests you can still see how the anti-war movement is coming to age through numbers for example Last year, for the first time since the peak of the Iraq war, 13 years ago, the Army fell thousands of troops short of its recruiting goals. Also in 2017 the Department of Defense poll that found only 14 percent of respondents ages 16 to 24 said it was likely they’d serve in the military in the coming years.

Overall we do not see an immediate progress with Anti-War movements, however in the coming years I think the numbers will definitely speak for themselves as the younger generations in America start to vote and the numbers decline for the U.S. military.
